.Jim Carlson:

Working with diverse clients, I'm always generating innovative ideas on how to help clients align their strategic direction with their marketing and advertising.

Much of what I do for clients is listen. By listening first, I develop a deep understanding of their business and how best to visually communicate their stories. My clients enjoy working with me because I put them at ease and make the entire process engaging and fun.

I'm most proud of being awarded two fellowships for People/Fashion Photography at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. It's during that time I developed my passion for photographing people. I specialize in lifestyle and corporate portraiture, as well as product photography.

When I'm not in the studio or on location, you can catch me spending time with my family. Our family values community service – we like to volunteer to support the South Oakland Shelter. I also enjoy hitting the road with friends and taking on Zoo-De-Mack.

I graduated from LCC’s Institute of Photography in Lansing, Michigan, and studied applied photography at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. After graduation, I packed my bags and traveled with some of the nation’s best automotive photographers.

By partnering with my brother, John, we're able to bring that family atmosphere to all of our clients. We have a strong bond, and our clients benefit from our combined strengths.
